Family Council

Council

Black Sun is a Family and at it's head is the Family Council. Aside from the Prince all Council members have the title Vigo (meaning "nephew" in Old Tionese). This title is used to boost the perception of unity among the individual crime families headed by council members and show that they are all tied into a single Family despite any other affiliations.

The Shadow Vigos are trusted Council members who's identities must remain a secret and, as such, they are known only by a simple codename.

Each Vigo is concerned with a specific section of the group and you can see their area in the bios below.

Dark Prince Corvis Orion

  • Knight of Sullust in Exile
  • Ex-Senator of the New Republic
  • Magnate of Information Trading
  • Current Underworld Potentate
  • Current leader of the Blades

The blood of the late Irving Howie runs strong in his veins. Ever since his exile from Corellia, Orion has kept ties to the less than legitimate parts of the galaxy. Having been a gunsmith, a officer of the law, an assassin, a con artist, and everything in between, he is by far one of the most unpreditable and dangerous men in the galaxy. After years of careful and calculated position, he took control of the Family, and it's vast resources. Only time will tell what he has in store for the galaxy.

  • Overseer of Infrastructure
  • Lord of House Sizhran
  • Former Blades Central Command Advisor

Instead of ships, his interest is raw materials. Instead of fancy weapons, his interest is in how to make those weapons deadlier. His passion lies in the ground, waiting to be extracted and used to build and grow for the Family. His only care is to ensure that Black Sun has all the resources and technology needed to take advantage of any beneficial opportunity. Family. Honor. Profit.

Seat of Power

The Ruins of Golgotha.

A long time ago an ancient Prince laid a mighty city upon a shrouded world.

His capitol, Golgotha, his symbol of strength and power.

Alas he died, his Sun to fade and his city to crumble.

Yet in death Golgotha remained, a locus for Black Sun in the ages since.

At its heart, the sprawling necropolis.

Remains of heroes and traitors to the Family there interred.

A soulless place, steeped in death and darkness.

To create a link with the history and power of Black Sun, the Council employed archaeologists to tear a central section of Golgotha's necropolis from the surface of the planet and install it aboard the syndicate's symbolic flagship, the Darkstar. Ruined tombs from the dead city stretch across a 200 x 400m cargo deck on the palace-ship, an expanse of crumbling monuments that reveal the truth of Black Sun. No living soul is allowed to enter, save the Family Council.

Behind heavy blastdoors to keep the galaxy at bay. Past silent assassin droids that tend the remains. Along crumbling stone pavements where no other sentients still tread. Past the tombs and statues and monuments to the fallen. Under a durasteel sky. There is a stone mausoleum of ancient design. Upon the mantle is inscribed "Prince" but his name is ablated by time. In this mausoleum of the forgotten prince there is a darkened room of deepest secrecy. A table set with seven chairs and seven holoprojectors to assemble the Council that is the Family, wherever their business scatters them.
